Probably OS is missing. I have two ssd disks in it. I want to mirror my data and be able to boot system from second drive if first one fails. There are plenty of project suggestions listed in the Linux forums for people to help learn Linux.
Not on the MBR. I want to mirror both OS and data. Normally RAID is done at the hardware level, you then install a hypervisor on to the physical hardware and then you spin up your VM. No RAID is needed as it's taken care of at the hardware layer. I want to install hypervisor and add VMs, but is not my call. I have configured RAID controler, but Centos installer didn't recognized it, and stopped installation. I did all steps exactly as in video in my post, but OS didn't boot.
You still have not posted the error message that CentOS displayed. If the server has hardware RAID, that is always the better option. Details of the hardware will help us help you. I recommend you try harder to resolve the hardware raid issue. I have many hardware raided redhat centos on dell servers with no issues.
Software raid is rarely used under linux so you're starting to put yourself in a lonely place. I think you also need to partition the disk to GPT. You should be able to do that with gparted or probably from that ctrl-alt-f1 shell.
I see one virtual disk in bios and in controller bios, but when I am installing centOS and go to Basic Storage installation and try to create partitions I see two devices. You've not created the RAID1 array. My gut says that in case one disk fails, booting from md0 will fail as well.
